This message is for all self-publishers like myself who have posted work through createspace for Amazon. I was in a forum on my LinkedIn last night and had an interesting chat with a fellow author about my experience with Amazon. Since my first edition’s release, I noticed that my book wasn’t making too many sells on its own (without my having to market constantly). After conducting research of my own, I found out the key to getting noticed on Amazon is… reviews. Just having a title up on Amazon for a long period of time is not enough to get them to show any attention to it. I haven’t reached said goal myself but, from what I’ve read, 50 is where you need to be, in order to start getting mentioned in “related stories”, etc. Going to take some time at reaching this number and will be posting an update once I do.

Nice to meet you! By trade I am an author who decides to take on the occasional acting or model job. I am from Los Angeles, California and currently reside in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. I started writing books at age 22 and finished 6 by the time I was 25. Publishing my work brought a level of nervous that I couldn't resist without an undoubted level of perfection. Now here I am, published author, sharing my ideas with the world. View all posts by averyenunez
